Nothing captures my attention like the human voice; to me, its possibilities are endlessly fascinating. As a natural avenue for expression, your singular sound gives you away, revealing your emotional state, your health, and other important pieces of yourself. When it comes to singing and acting, without the proper technique, training and practice, your voice cannot function at its best - and your healthy, vibrant sound can be compromised. It is my job to help performers concretize reliable technique so that they find the confidence to take risks in performance, seize the moment, and serve the text and music with both smarts and abandon. As a professional singer myself, I well understand that the art of learning to sing necessitates addressing musicality, phrasing, the text, diction - the whole of the music. When mentoring singers in this way, I am following my passion.
